This section contains documentation I’ve written from scratch for tools and systems I use personally. Each doc set is complete, not snippets, so you can evaluate the full arc: information architecture, voice, density, examples, edge cases.

What’s here​

  • Obsidian PKM Guide: A complete onboarding guide to a Personal Knowledge Management system built in Obsidian, using PARA structure, Tasks plugin, and Templater. Aimed at someone setting up their first serious PKM.
  • Event Scan App: User-facing documentation for a ticket scanning app. The content has been debranded.
  • Deploy a Static Site to Vercel with a Custom Domain: A procedural guide documenting the steps I followed to deploy davidmacvicar.com to Vercel using GitHub, including DNS configuration for a custom domain.
  • Squash Performance Dashboard: Reference documentation for a personal data dashboard tracking ten years of squash match history, rankings, and performance metrics.

Why these projects​

I picked projects where I could write as a real practitioner, not a marketer. Every workflow here is one I actually use day-to-day.
